Mrs. Bruce

Hello!  My name is Dara Bruce, and I have served as the Speech-Language Pathologist at Eisenhower Elementary since October, 2005.  I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful school, putting my years of experience to use helping students achieve their potentials!  Hopefully, the students with whom I work learn something new every day.  Certainly, I learn something new from them each day!

        I earned my B.S. and M.A. degrees in Speech Pathology from K-State a number (a fairly BIG number!) of years ago.  After working several years in a couple of school districts, I opened a private speech pathology practice in Junction City.  After growing and operating the practice for 19 years, I sold the practice and joined USD 475 in 2000 as the School-to-Career Coordinator.  After five years in that position, I re-entered Speech Pathology as the Eisenhower Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist.  Students and staff have made this transition back to speech pathology easy and rewarding for me!

       On a personal note, I am married and have three grown children, all Junction City High School graduates.  I have lived in the Junction City community since 1980, and there is no place I would rather call HOME.
