Mr. Smith

Hello!  My name is Jared Smith and this is my first year as a school social worker in Geary County.  I love working with children and their families and am excited about working at Eisenhower! 

I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and social work from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas.  Prior to moving to Junction City I worked for three years at The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas, in Wichita, as a Children’s Case Manager.   

On a personal note, I am married to Alicia and we have a cat named Gabby.  We just moved to a farmhouse in the country and just love the outdoors.  In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to music, and traveling.  I am an avid football fan and love watching the Broncos!
