Welcome to First Grade!  This is my first year as a full time teacher and I am so excited! First grade is such a pivotal year for students and I know we are going to have so much fun this year. Throughout the year I will post pictures, activities and other information.

A little bit about myself. . .

I grew up in Texas and am a graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce. My husband, Dan, and I were stationed at Fort Riley in January and he left for Iraq in February. I have really enjoyed living in Kansas, but, of course, I miss my family in Texas. We don’t have any children. . . just a puppy. I love to spend my time playing with my niece and nephew (when I’m in TX), reading, hiking, and taking pictures. This summer I started working for a photographer and I look forward to being a professional photographer in the near future.
